Background

Prior to coming to Wolfram Research, I was Editor of Computational Science at TELOS/Springer-Verlag. Prior to that, I taught mathematics for 13 years, most recently at Sonoma State University. I have undergraduate and graduate degrees in mathematics from the University of Michigan and University of California, Berkeley, respectively.

• Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the journal Mathematica in Education and Research for its first four years. (David Fowler, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, is the current Editor-in-Chief of the journal.)
• Member of Corporate and Foundation Alliance, an initiative of the National Science Foundation.
