Wouldn't that take up 5 or more average size rooms? My 2500-ish take up 80% of the wall space of a 12' by 18' room.

Triple shelved in many cases and on shelves approximately 12 feet high it takes up all of the wall space in two rooms and a good portion in the third, plus miscellaneous throughout the house.
However, that was total count--I realized that the catalogue include e-books, so the actually count of paper is not nearly so high. I'll have to run a different report based on type to ascertain and I'll get back to you. My guess is about 10,000 e-books--so about 12,000 books. That seems high--I should probably look at the whole thing again now that I'm actually looking at these numbers. Perhaps it's only 1,200 and I've misread. But that can't be because just an inspection of the e-files shows 2,500 books just in the alphabetical listings for A-G. Oh well. Now I'm confused.
